“There’s a difference between peace and liberation, is there not? You can have injustice and have peace… so peace isn’t the answer, liberation is the answer. That’s the white man’s word Peace, Liberation is our word..”
- Kwame Ture
The genocide in Palestine is one of our big task that haven’t finished yet as a human being. Many people are dying right know just because they want their homeland back.
As we all know, many white-majority countries engaged in colonization centuries ago, and the word “liberation” is one of the most beautiful and powerful words for those who were colonized to fight for in retrieving their homeland.
We can’t turn a blind eye to what is happening in Palestine right now that have been unfolded for nearly 80 years. It proves that our duty is not yet complete, and we must stay together to help them achieve the word “liberation”.
As Kwame Ture said, “peace” is not the solution to colonization, but rather “liberation.” Human rights are nothing more than empty words, as even the country that initiated the term “human rights” does nothing about the events in Palestine. Those in the “high up” shamefully close their eyes and act like cowards.
For your information, majority of Gaza’s population is young with 65 percent being under the age of 24 and the median age for men and women being 18 years (Al Jazeera).
The most irritating part is that Israel has trapped two million people inside in the Gaza Strip since 2007. They control every single essential thing, such water, fuel, electricity, etc.
You all can clearly see that it’s not “war” but occupation is the right word to describe it. Israel’s actions are clearly against human rights regulations.
Liberation becomes our main goal in prospering all humans in this world, so that the world becomes a safe place.
Many children in Palestine have to witness the cruelty of the world right before their eyes, leaving no picture for beauty in their minds. They must be wondering “are we the only one in the world?”, “there is no one fighting with them to achieve the freedom in their own home?”.
Isn’t it ironic? They are just like us, fellow humans who deserve to live freely and peacefully from domination by colonizers. They deserve to have fun, spend time with family, smile and laugh, enjoying the magnificence of the world in their own land.
So, let us grant them liberation and peace.
What Palestinians people feels right now, we’ve felt that.
As an Indonesian, my country used to be colonized by some countries. And now Israel took Palestine land and it is the right moment for me to help and support Palestine.
As young citizen, our actions MATTER for them. In this era, social media has been used as a tool to have a significant impact on everything.
Whatever you can do, whatever you’re doing, don't stop talking about it. Spread information and raise awareness about the real situation of the people of Palestine.
You all can clearly see about what’s happening in social media right know, TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, they’re all talking about Palestine. All the rallies, demonstrations, boycotts, prayers, even donations are the main trends. All those actions did have a big impact on every aspects.
THEY NEED US.
Remember,
KEEP SPEAKING UP ABOUT THIS! GIVE YOUR SUPPORT.
